Dr. Sanya Thobani graduated from Goa Medical College in India and completed her training in Internal Medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center and Endocrinology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has experience working in the United States as an attending endocrinologist at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a high-volume teaching hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania. She moved to Toronto in 2018 and worked with LMC Brampton, a full service outpatient endocrinology practice in Brampton, Ontario for two years. Dr. Thobani is the medical director at Walnut Grove Medical and is accepting referrals for endocrinology consults.

Dr. Istafanous joined the Clinic in 2016. He brings more than 20 years of medical experience as a Family Physician to the team. Dr. Istafanous holds CCFP Certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He was graduated with Honour in Medicine and Surgery in 1998 from Cairo University with The Dean’s List. He has completed training internationally in Cairo University as well as nationally in Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He has worked for 3 years in Newfoundland as a family physician, hospitalist and emergency room physician where he gained considerable experience in rural medicine.

Dr. Istafanous also holds a number of certifications including ECFMG (United States Medical Licensing Exams) and Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. Dr. Istafanous areas of expertise include chronic care management as well as preventive medicine and counselling. He is passionate about primary care and is a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Amrish Ramiah completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has been practicing medicine since 2010. He worked for a few years in South Africa and then moved to Canada in 2013. He worked as a family physician for five years in Saskatchewan. During his practice in rural Saskatchewan, he looked after patients at the primary care clinic, the local hospital and the long-term care facility. He moved to British Columbia in 2018 to practice in Langley. He enjoys providing primary care to people of all ages.
